Life as a student can be overwhelming, and with the "it's almost the weekend" noise around campus, it can be pretty overstimulating. Whether you're looking to focus on your studies, read your favourite book or relax away from busy communal areas, there's always a quiet spot on campus for you.
Lanchester Library 📖
Located in the Frederick Lanchester Building, the library is open daily with dedicated quiet and silent floors. The upper floors offer natural light and isolated study areas away from the busy areas. If you need to lock into your studying or you're feeling a bit overstimulated, then we highly recommend spending some time here.
Accessible study rooms (Group Room 7) 💡
Located on the silent first floor of the library, Group Room 7 features adjustable window blinds and dimmable lighting. It's bookable for up to 4 hours via the Disabilities Team for eligible students.
Ellen Terry Building 🍎
Located opposite The Hub, this building is a quieter student study area that requires your university ID for access. It's a calmer alternative to a central study spot, with quiet study zones and a piano available for students to use, offering a tactile or auditory outlet to help students de-stress between tasks.
George Eliot Building Sensory Rooms & Lounge 🍃
The George Eliot Building features a communal sensory-friendly lounge and bookable private sensory rooms. They're designed for decompression and emotional regulation for overstimulated and sensory-sensitive students and feature themes like a "cloud room" and a "forest room".
If you need a getaway from the crowds on campus, why not check out some local walks in Coventry to reset your mind and take in some peaceful scenery.
